January 20, 2025 was the worst day ever for many people in the United States. It is now six months later and things are so bad, that I’m not sure that we’re actually going to survive this dictatorship.
I read Project 2025. In fact, I read it multiple times. I had to be sure that what I was reading was actually real. They told us exactly what they were going to do to destroy the United States and very few people refused to believe it. I tried to sound the alarm about Project 2025 and I was told by multiple people that I was “paranoid.” Turns out that I was right. Now, everyone is freaking out over something that I warned about a long time ago.
But, it’s too late to dwell on that now. We’re in a dictatorship, so we have to focus on doing what we can to end this dictatorship. To do that, we have to look at the past. How did people survive past dictatorships? What can we do to ensure we don’t have the same fate?
The most important thing I’ve found in my research on past dictatorships is that dictatorships are run on fear. The most famous example of this is 1930s Germany, when Germany was ruled by Adolf Hitler. They were so afraid to speak up because they saw what would happen if they did. They saw their family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers taken away by the Gestapo. Hitler depended on the Gestapo to do his dirty work. Unfortunately, it worked. People were so terrified of the Gestapo that they simply remained silent. More lives could have been saved if people weren’t afraid.
Drumpf is doing the same thing. He is trying to rule by fear. He saw that it worked well for Hitler and he’s trying to do the same thing. He even has his own version of the Gestapo calling themselves “ICE agents.” However, the American Gestapo is nothing but a bunch of masked goons. They refuse to identify themselves. They do not have any warrants signed by a judge. They cover their faces. They cosplay as federal agents, but they are not federal agents. They are impersonating federal agents and law enforcement. They are kidnapping people right in the streets, like the original Gestapo did.
The American Gestapo is hoping to instill fear in us. I don’t feel fear from the American Gestapo. I feel anger! And I’m not the only one. I’ve seen quite a few videos that show angry people standing up to the American Gestapo. I must say that I felt joy when I saw the American Gestapo retreat when people came to challenge them.
Also, we have a very big advantage that the German people did not have in the 1930s. We have technology! We can record what’s going on. We can take pictures of their license plates, since they are using their own personal vehicles. We can warn others when we see them. We can mobilize and stop these goons from kidnapping people.
We need to protect each other and speak up when we can. The No Kings protests have been incredible! The protests weren’t just in the United States, they were also in several other countries! It’s refreshing to know that others have our back. We are not alone in our fight against a dictator.
It is exhausting when every single day the dictator does something even worse than the previous day. I’m completely fatigued by this dictatorship and I know it’s easy to just give up. But, I keep hanging on because this dictatorship cannot last. Despite how bad things are right now, they can’t last forever. We are going to win against this dictatorship, but it’s going to take a long time.
One last thing to consider is the way that many dictatorships end. It’s usually very violent and the dictator is usually killed. Look what the Italian people did to Benito Mussolini. Let’s not forget how the Romanians disposed of Nicolae Ceaușescu.
There is hope.
